    I'm running Mac OS X 10.5. running OSXCrypt-A6.2

    Did the following:
    $ ocutil create -verbose -fat -algorithm Serpent-Twofish-AES -size 200M MyCryptedVolume.img
    succeeds succesfully
    $ ocutil attach -verbose MyCryptedVolume.img
    succeeds and ends with these lines:

    attach: info: outer volume identified.
    attach: info: trying to attach 'MyCryptedVolume.img' ...
    attach: info: attaching disk image 'MyCryptedVolume.img', please wait...
    attach: info: attached disk image 'MyCryptedVolume.img' to disk1
    attach: info: seizing device disk1 via DiskArbitration.

    anyone an idea?

    It's odd it doesn't receive disk claiming notification, send an email to info at osxcrypt dot org so we can try to work out a patch. :-)
