About
OSXCrypt will become the leading opensource encryption platform for Mac OS X.
It will support multiple encryption systems with first goal to support TrueCrypt volumes. We expect to get community support to provide Mac users access to dmcrypt, luks, loop-aes and pgp encrypted disks.
Regarding truecrypt, the first supported platform…TrueCrypt is the leading product for encryption and plausible deniability. it comes in Windows and Linux flavors and is perfectly multi platform and usable.
The actual implementation, though, isn’t compatible with MacOs X and multiple contacts with developers have resulted in nothing at all.
Considering this we’ve contacted several programmer, one of the leading core developers in ReactOs Operative System, one of the guy that made the port of VMWare to FreeBSD that accepted to port the entire application in native MacOs X for $1.500,00.
The resulting project will be released in OpenSource as a Fork of the main project and freely available to all the community after the development. Repository will be held in SourceForge and the developed project will be fully compliant with the current implementation, thus allowing full disk and/or file based volumes, plausible deniability and inter operation with same files between Windows, *x and MacOs X.
At the end of the day we received all the financing, which result in a total of $1.490,00 with expense. And We’ve started contacting a couple of programmers…
Stay tuned! We’re coming!
